Description
The five Multisensory High Frequency Spelling Words books consist of the 300 hundred most frequently used words. The words have been reordered from level of frequency to level of difficulty, which makes more sense from a teaching perspective.
It is recommended that you check the words contained in each book (see 2nd page on the e-versions) and begin with the book which contains words your child DOESN’T already know how to spell.
The multisensory spelling technique utilized in this book has been developed over many years and tried and tested on numerous students with excellent results. Research shows that learning is most effective when all senses are used and consequently this program requires students to use the visual, auditory, and tactile senses.
Where relevant spelling rules, morphology, and etymology are included.
The program is based on the premise that phonemic knowledge provides the building blocks of literacy and consequently it is recommended that the books be used in conjunction with a systematic and sequential phonics program.
