The Multisensory Reading Level 3 Workshop consists of 6 Units:
* Introducing the First Lesson
* Introducing the Second Lesson
* Teaching Subsequent Lessons
* Key Teaching Points
* Modifications to the Program.
In this workshop participants will be provided with systematic, step-by-step instructions for effectively implementing the Cracking the ABC Code Multisensory Reading Level 3 programs. These programs are designed for students with a reading accuracy age of between 6.06 to 10.00 years. Level 3A is for students with a reading age of between 6 years 6 months and 7 years. Level 3B is for students with a reading age between 7 years and 8 years and Level 3C is for students with a reading age between 8 years and 10 years.

Unit 1: Introduction
Unit 1 provides an overview of the Cracking the ABC Code Multisensory Reading Level 3 program. It also recommends assessment tools and discusses how to use the results to determine the most beneficial level for students.
Unit 2: Introducing the First Lesson
Unit 2 provides step-by-step instructions for implementing the first lesson in the Cracking the ABC Code Multisensory Reading Level 3 programs. It includes instructions on the material you will need to prepare before commencing the lesson, information about the brain and learning, teaching that written language is a code for spoken language and how to introduce the first unit to the student and the homework component to the parent.
Unit 3: Introducing the Second Lesson
Unit 3 provides step-by-step instructions for implementing the second lesson in the Cracking the ABC Code Multisensory Reading Level 3 programs. In this lesson, the student and parent is introduced to the Cracking the ABC Code spelling strategy and you are provided with suggestions for checking the homework component of the lesson has been completed effectively.
Unit 4: Teaching Subsequent Lessons
Unit 4 provides step-by-step instructions for implementing subsequent lessons from the Cracking the ABC Code Multisensory Reading Level 3 programs. It includes testing the student’s spelling, teaching spelling rules and testing the retention of grapheme knowledge.
Unit 5: Key Teaching Points
Unit 5 provides further information on key teaching points when implementing the Cracking the ABC Code Multisensory Reading Level 3 programs, including rules associated with the use of different graphemes and specific decoding strategies such as syllabifying words with ‘double r’.
Unit 6: Modifications to the Program
Unit 6 discusses modifications that can be made to tailor the Multisensory Reading Level 3 programs to meet the needs of individual students. It includes modifying the program for students who are finding the material difficult, strategies for students who have attention or anxiety issues and motivational ideas for the lesson and for homework.
